“A Day In A Life” – Out now.

I’m so happy to announce that “A Day in a Life” is out and available in online stores such as Spotify and iTunes as well as the physical CD which you can purchase by sending me an email. leonrosten@gmail.com.

This album was recorded in April 2017 in Family Day Studios with the producer Bendik Toming http://ink361.com/app/users/ig-241986246/b_toming/photos

I have started to use the band name “Leon Røsten Odyssey”. For this recording I had the pleasure of having Jeremy Paul on Drums and Håvard Tanner on Double Bass whom i both met at London Centre Of Contemporary Music, we’ve played together in various occations and worked collaboratively to create the repertoire for “A Day in a Life”. We have been playing more frequently as a trio the last year, including concerts, recording sessions, rehearsals and playing for Håvard’s final recital for his MA at Guildhall.

This is the third release I do with my own music, yet I think this is the most unplanned, spontaneous and free recording I’ve done so far. Bendik Toming has been great to work with adding samples and working with soundscapes and there is no better place to record than Family Day Recordings, as it simply makes sense to be out in nature on an island in Hvaler when recording this kind of music.

Phase Theory Collective Podcast

I just had a lovely interview/podcast with my dear friend and colleague Chris Barrat from The Phaze Theory Collective, we’ve collaborated in projects like Mimika and Phase Theory, but this time he’s interviewing me regarding my thoughts on Leon Røsten Odyssey’s new release «Mandala». We’re talking about my music, listening to the album and discuss the mysteries of music and life. Please have a listen, if you still haven’t heard the new album than this is a good excuse.
Have a listen and check out the other great podcast’s PTC has done.
